THE ADULTS Premieres at Tribeca 2023

The Adults made its North American Premiere this week at the Tribeca Film Festival and The OCNY Film Office was in attendance!

Filmed in Orange County NY, The Adults centers around Eric’s (Michael Cera) brief return home, leading to tension with his family and reopening old wounds. The complex relationships and traumas of the characters are explored through theater and shared histories. The cast delivers nuanced performances, and the director effectively conveys the dynamics between the siblings through raw emotion and close-ups.

Directed by Dustin Guy Defa, the film also stars Hannah Gross as Rachel and Sophia Lillis as Maggie.

Other locations used in the film include Dutchess and Ulster County NY.
