Guess what? A24’s Marty Supreme was recently spotted filming right here in Orange County, NY! The production, which has also filmed in New York City and Westchester’s Rye Playland, made a stop in our scenic region to capture the perfect backdrop for Josh Safdie’s latest project starring Timothée Chalamet.

A Journey Back in Time

If you drove past a retro 1950s gas station on an empty road a few weeks ago, you weren’t imagining things. That carefully crafted set wasn’t a time capsule; it was one of the filming locations for Marty Supreme. This unique film is loosely inspired by the life of Marty Reisman, a hustler-turned-ping-pong champion. From gambling on games in Manhattan to winning 22 major titles and competing into his late sixties, his story is as thrilling as it is inspiring.

Why Orange County?

The production team was searching for an isolated road to create an authentic 1950s vibe, and Orange County delivered. With help from the OCNY Film Office, the crew found the perfect location in Warwick. The result? A stunning recreation of a nostalgic gas station that brought the story to life.

A24’s History in Orange County

This isn’t the first time A24 has chosen Orange County as a filming location. Previous productions include The Whale, starring Brendan Fraser, and Sing Sing, which filmed in part at the Hudson Sports Complex in Warwick. The consistent return of A24 highlights how Orange County continues to impress with its versatility and charm.
