Casting Call: Musicians Wanted for Upcoming Music Video “BLINK”

Hudson Valley musicians, here’s an opportunity to take your talents in front of the camera.

A new vampire-themed music video and short film are casting performers who can truly rock. If you’ve got stage presence, musical talent, and an interest in on-camera work, this could be a great opportunity to join an exciting independent production filming in the New York City area.

BLINK, a non-union music video, will serve as a companion piece to the upcoming short film Becoming You. The music video follows a teen hospital patient battling a terrifying transformation into a vampire, while the larger short film tells the story of an aspiring 2000s rock band whose pursuit of fame comes at a devastating cost.

Production is scheduled to film June 25–26, 2026, in New York City and Jersey City. Cast members selected for the music video must also be interested in participating in the short film, which is expected to shoot for approximately one week between January and April 2027.

Now Casting

Lock (Lead)

Male, 18–25

Lead singer and guitarist of a rising rock band. An ambitious and determined frontman willing to do whatever it takes to succeed.

Must play guitar and sing.

Nerve (Supporting)

Female, 18–25

A bassist and vocalist struggling to rediscover her creative voice. Resourceful, resilient, and deeply committed to her music.

Must play bass and sing.

Spade (Supporting)

Age 19–26

The band’s drummer and resident troublemaker. Tough on the outside but fiercely loyal to the people he cares about.

Must play drums.

Roles are open to performers who identify as Asian, Ethnically Ambiguous, Multiracial, Latino/Hispanic, or White/European Descent.
