Inspired by the beloved BBC hit Doc Martin, this fresh American adaptation follows Dr. Martin Best — a brilliant but socially awkward doctor whose unusual bedside manner delivers both laughs and heart. The show takes place in a charming New England town. But thanks to the magic of filmmaking, “New England” is actually Orange County, NY, and the greater Hudson Valley!

From cozy village streets to scenic countryside views, our region is stealing the spotlight. Locals have already spotted the FOX crew filming in towns across Orange County, and the excitement is contagious.

Even better, many local residents are working on set — from behind-the-scenes crew to background actors. The production is boosting the local economy and showing the world that Orange County can play Hollywood, too.

Filming runs through December, and each background actor may work between one and four days, depending on availability. So, whether you can only spare a day or two or want to join for a full week, there’s flexibility for everyone.
